Is the color wheel app free?
Yes, the download is free and there is no account to create. The wheel and all six harmony types work right away, and the palette library syncs between your devices with iCloud: three palettes on the free tier, unlimited with Pro. Pro also adds file export.
Which harmonies does the wheel show?
Six: complementary, analogous, split-complementary, triadic, square (tetradic), and monochromatic. Each one is a fixed set of angles, so you can rotate a scheme to any base hue and the relationship still holds. The color harmony guide covers when to reach for each.
Can I build a palette from a photo?
Yes. Choose a picture from your photo library and the app pulls out five distinct colors, which you can then adjust on the wheel or drop into a gradient.
What can I do with a finished palette?
Copy a single HEX or RGB value, or export the palette as Procreate swatches, Adobe ASE, CSS variables, Tailwind, SwiftUI, or design-token JSON. Exporting color palettes shows which format fits which handoff.
Can I try the wheel before downloading?
